| | Yesterday was the first time that I rode in Roswell. Aside from all the traffic going into Roswell, I had a wonderful time riding with James. We planned on doing a 2 hour ride for 40 minutes, which stretched out to 51.7 miles for 3 hours, 2 minutes and 17 seconds.
Talk about wrong gearing, I rode the Giant with a standard double and 11x25 cassette. James showed me his starting route from his house up this 1/4 mile climb that was pretty dang tough, but I was not going to let it conquer me. We rode through Riverside then followed the Bike Roswell route which was well-marked with "BR" in white spray point on the roads. I am looking forward to much more future rides in Roswell at least once a month.
As for today, I wanted to focus on more hill intervals so I decided to ride the hidden gem that is very close to my house. I rode for 30 minutes as a warmup then went to hit my intervals on Tuggle Road. I will admit that it was tough doing Tuggle Road for an hour, but it was a great challenge. Nothing like a hill that saps all the speed out of you, I kid you now. The last 50 meters was 5.4 mph, which was grueling! My legs are like jello right now. I am glad to be able to relax right now.
Here's a elevation view of my interval route.
